Hello everybody I am back.
I went to Giant today, the Tampines one, for groceries. (I FINALLY HAVE USA GALA APPLES AND BREAD AND MILK. I like Gala apples.)
Anyway at the cashier the woman put plums (which are from Australia) and grapes and my Gardenia bread in the same bag. I was afraid that the plums would squash the bread so I went to the next counter to get a small plastic bag by myself.
So that other cashier (the one where I was getting the small bag from) was like, (noticing me taking what was rightfully hers)
"你要什么?"
And she sounded pissed so I was like, kinda shocked. So I was like 一个纸袋 and she mumbled
"你可以说得吗."
IN A VERY PISSED TONE.
LIKE, what the hell right. Ugh. Anyway all the way back to the car I was just so pissed.
Anyway Incident Two.
Went to IKEA for dinner. So while waiting for a table, there was this table beside me with a baby in a high chair. The baby like brushed a packet of biscuit onto the floor and no one seemed to pick it up. So (even though I contemplated whether or not to be kind because of the earlier incident which pissed me of so bad) I picked it up for them anyway, and placed it on their table.
There was no reaction from that Indian family.
Not a smile or a nod.
I'm sorry was saying "Thanks" so hard?!
What happened to everybody?
Later on, while queuing for food, there was a guy who was really, really polite. If you didn't want the Daily Special thing you could just cut in front of others cause it's in front. Anyway he asked really loudly and very graciously that I even felt like thanking him for being so polite. (I'm going nuts you see)
But at the same time I felt sad for him. I don’t know. I felt like…he was fighting some losing battle against this cruel society (LOL okay maybe that was a bit overboard). Anyway you get how I was feeling. (I need to expand my vocabulary. I used “felt” three times. I hope Mrs Ng isn’t reading. Hehehehheh.)
Yeah that's about it.
I shall bring an apple tomorrow. Gala apples are nice.
